WAH Nail products launch in Boots UK in-store and online

I am a big lover of statement nails and i don't claim to be any good at nail art....its costly but lets leave that to the professionals and in my eyes the best...WAH Nails.

After launching 5 years ago in Dalston, East London WAH Nails have got an amazing client list under their belt from features in Vogue to London Fashion Week shows this team are a force to be reckoned with, under the guidance of Central St Martins graduate, Sharmadean Reid. After launching a salon in Topshops Oxford Street Flag Ship store WAH has reached the masses and is tomorrow 03.09.14 launching its own range of nail products available from Boots online.

From press on fakes to nail art pens and shades inspired by David Hockney paintings i have no doubt the range will probably be a sell out in most Boots stores....here's some of my favourite picks from the collection....

From natural to acrylic theres no place better that i would recommend if you're looking to have something completely unique a bit special done whether it's for an occasion or just a payday treat WAH is the place. I've had my nails done there a number of times now and fakes are a bit pricey but i didn't even have to get infills for 4 weeks and if you know anything about acrylics this is an absolute dream.

The full range includes...

- 34 NAIL POLISH COLOURS
- 14 NAIL ART PENS
- 6 PRESS ON NAIL DESIGNS
- NAIL FILE

Brand new- Nixon

As any student and graduate will appriciate an actual paid real life job and wage is something we all dream of after leaving university and whilst fantasising about this and how i am going to spend my first months wages there was one thing that topped my list....a really really nice watch.

Of course i could ask for it for Christmas or a birthday but, although i don't always execute the idea, i am a believer in investing in quality over cheaper fast fashion and what is more timeless and classic than a watch that i earnt for myself. Its a staple piece and if the right one is chosen, can go with any outfit, day and night, casual or classy, its something that lasts. And of course i could jump on the Michael Kors/ Marc Jacobs watch hype but if working as a intern in PR has taught me anything it's that there are so many brilliant undiscovered brands out there which offer something a little bit different and definitely more innovative in design.

I recently started working as a intern for Sane Communications (click on the name for the link to their website) and one of the first things that is a vital part of working for a PR agency is having a good knowledge of the clients they represent. I spent the first few days wandering about the showroom and really getting familiar with the AW14 collections and getting to grips with the trends for next season and one brand that grabbed me straight away was Nixon.

Now don't get this confused with 'Nikon' the Japanese camera company, like my sister did, but she also thought Vogue was called Vove so lets not even go there. Founded in 1997 in California the company has expanded and sells a range of watches and other accessories on a international level. As someone who isn't really into big flashy jewellery and heavy items Nixon appeals massively to me but then i also feel they offer something for everyone and even the hardcore Michael Kors fans could be converted by some of the watches they have to offer, because lets face it everyone wearing the same thing on their wrist is getting a bit boring.

Take a look at some of my favourite picks from the current collection available on their website now...

Brand new- Bian Leather

Now yes there is a slight motive and a vested interest behind my love for this brand, it was started by one of my friend's mums and i worked with them towards my final major project for uni but all that aside there's a lot to boast about with Bian Leather.

As some of you luxury handbag lovers may have noticed beloved Mulberry have somewhat lost their touch with reality and the amount a bag should cost, although their bags are stunningly beautiful the price of a basic Bayswater is now £895 and slowly slipping away from fantasies. This is where Bian Leather comes in as they are aiming at the Mulberry lovers market and at a lower price!

As part of my final major project at Uni i put together collection ideas and marketing examples for Bian Leather from the pieces that have already been produced. All the bags are made for a practical purpose and all the ideas have sprung from the founder, Sue Donald's love for luxury leather bags and not being able to find bags that were both practical and stylish in order to meet her needs. My personal favourite is a big and baggy leather backpack she made, its bang on trend for this year and is easily styled with any outfit day to night. Check out some of the images below of bags from the debut collection.

The official website should be launching within the next few months and they have an Instagram site which i will pop the links for these down below. Get shopping!

Met Gala Fashion

As many avid fashion followers will know the Met Gala (formally known as the Costume Institute Gala) took place earlier this week. Known for being one of the most exclusive social events in New York if theres any time celebrities want to get it right, its here!

There was the good, the bad, and some a bit ugly but the catwalk saw some amazing looks from Beyonce in Givenchy to Kendall Jenner in Bespoke Topshop!? Here is some of my favourite outfit picks and trends from the night.

And finally best and worst dressed are the toughest titles but there was definitely some very choice outfits walking that red carpet. After topping my last 'Fashion woman of the week' post the beautiful Kate Upton seems to have lost her way, i'm a huge Dolce and Gabbana fan and their fairy tale creations from both SS14 and AW14  would of been perfect but the black spanish dancer style number just didn't really cut it for me. Best dresser in my opinion has to go to the gorgeous Dita Von Teese who just oozes femininity and stunned in a nude and red Zac Posen number.

Fashion man of the week- Tinie Tempah

To be honest this post is completely wrongly titled, it should be titled 'Fashion man of the year, every year' because for me that's exactly what Tinie Tempah is, i'd probably even go as far as saying he's in my opinion one of the best dressed men in music/fashion.

His perfectly balanced combination of street style and classic designer tailoring is key and never fails to excite me when i see pictures in the press. Once quoted as saying he always flys long haul wearing a Ralph Lauren tracksuit and his favourite luggage is Louis Vuitton, can we blame him, i mean yeh it sounds a bit like high end typical tack but wouldn't it be most peoples guilty pleasures if they could afford it? And if Burberry's very own Christopher Bailey has given his stamp of approval, with Tinie popping up in the front row at LFW shows, who are we to judge?

No doubt he makes some risky choices in the fashion stakes but definitely exsudes the swagger ( yes i hate that word but there is no better use for it) to pull it off. From the bright red suit he was pictured in at a London collections: Men party in 2013 to an extremely choice orange puffer style tracksuit i once saw him on tv wearing all can be forgiven because it just works. It's probably even more enticing that he actually knows about fashion and takes a genuine interest, he has his own fashion label under the same name as his record company 'Disturbing London' which he designed some of the clothing for himself.

Watch the video below to see him talk a bit more about his eclectic style with another one of my fashion favourites, Reggie Yates.

Fashion woman of the week- Kate Upton

I'd love to say i discovered Kate Upton when i was flicking through the pages of Vogue magazine but unfortunately this isn't the case. An ex of mine showed me her infamous 'Cat daddy' video and described her as 'the ultimate woman' and to be honest i can't blame him.

21 years old, a size 10 and one of the freshest faces to grace catwalks and magazine covers in the past 12 months Kate Upton is a the ultimate face of the new age of the supermodel. Kate first really burst on the public radar as the cover star of Sport Illustrated two years in a row, a title which has only been achieved by the modelling icons Tyra Banks and Elle McPherson. From then she's gone from strength to strength and has appeared on the covers of both British and American Vogue.

Now i know many people might google her name and a load of pictures with her well known assets might appear but in my opinion, if you've got it flaunt it, and it always helps if you've got the face to match!

In the style stakes she's also proving a front runner for me, for a 21 year old ( i am still in complete disbelief she's younger than me!) she's got a classic sense of style and never fails to look classy even when her neck line is low enough to leave nothing to imagination. Whether she's self styled, which i doubt, or has someone on hand she nails classic looks from the cocktail dress to the tweed jacket. For gods sake she even pulls off a bloody puffer jacket in comparison to most people in their 20s who are reminiscent of Bianca from Eastenders....

I am in no doubt that when we reflect upon the supermodels of the 2000s the image of Kate Upton will resemble the love people have for Kate Moss and Christy Turlington from the 90s, i mean doesn't everyone love a blonde?

Liberty x Nike

I'm a self confessed Libertys of London addict (I probably go there twice a week when i'm in London and make a purchase each time...oops) i love everything about the brand, the building, the prints and in particular their seasonal collaborations with Nike!

I'm also a self confessed lover of trainers, i'm known to own far too many pairs of trainers by all my friends who all tell me to stop spending money which i actually don't have, but theres just something especially with Nike Air Max i can't resist. Now i know the Air Max trend was something that really first took off with the fashion masses last year and if i'm honest i thought it would of died out a bit by now, but much to my delight it's still going strong and i'm three pairs in!

I bought my first pair of Air Max last summer when i completely fell in love with the Liberty x Nike Spring/Summer 2013 collection, unfortunately they all sold out in store and through Liberty's online but carrying a hefty price tag i did create my own beautiful pair using another liberty seasonal print on Nike ID, a great personalised service and a purchase i will never regret!

The latest range from this brilliant collaboration was launched in-store and online on Monday 7th April. The collection includes 5 of Nike's most popular styles in main two colour ways and two variations on the blue liberty print that has been chosen for this seasons collection.

When i popped into store today i overheard that there was only one pair 'Internationalist trainer' left and almost all of the others were close to selling out. This is also the case online with currently only the two varieties of 'Dunk sky high wedge' trainers left in limited sizing! No doubt they will do a restock at some point so it's best to keep an eye out as this collection sells out every season. Currently on the Nike website the option to customise through Nike ID with this seasons newest Liberty prints is not available but will probably be released over the next few weeks as the collection was only came out on Monday.

In my personal opinion the collaboration of these two brands can do no wrong, it excites me every season for the pure reason who doesn't love trainers that are that god damn pretty! Although it carries a bit of a steep price tag i think something as stand out as this is worth investing in for the upcoming season as it looks like the trend for trainers is going no where fast!
